Fire Department Awards and Recognition CeremonySponsor the annual Fire Department Awards and Recognition Ceremony honoring individual employee performance on a daily basis and/or over the length of a career for service to the public, the City, the Fire Department and its members, and to recognize citizens whose contributions further the Fire Department mission, goals and objectives.

Fire Department Centennial 1904 to 2004Sponsored 2004 Centennial celebration to include production of a written history of the Fire Department and a video entitled “Edmonds Fire Department – Celebrating 100 Years”.
Quilt StandAs part of the 2004 Centennial Celebration, Edmonds resident, Betty Mueller, made a beautiful commemorative quilt with the name of every career and volunteer member of the Fire Department from 1904 to 2004. Foundation member, Greg Jorgenson, crafted upright stands to fully display the quilt that allow viewers to enjoy the craftsmanship at Department events.
Display CabinetRefurbished wood and glass display cabinet for Fire Administration reception area in City Hall to showcase fire memorabilia assembled since 1904.
IAFF Union Local #1828 Annual Holiday Basket ProgramAnnual financial support for the Firefighter’s Union program to provide food and toys to low income families over the holidays.
