Charles W. "Chuck" Cain

Memorial Endowment

At the suggestion and leadership of Pirie and Cindy Hart, the Charles W. “Chuck” Cain Memorial Endowment Fund was established October 2, 2006.

Chuck Cain was a member of the Board of Directors of the Edmonds Fire Safety Foundation from its inception until his death in April 2006. Chuck was an Edmonds Fire Department Volunteer Firefighter on active duty from 1957 through 1989, active as a retired member of the fire department, and a member and officer of the Edmonds Firefighters Association from 1957 until his death in 2006.

Chuck was a member of the City of Edmonds Civil Service Commission.  He was a positive role model for the volunteer firefighters that served with him during and after his retirement from active duty, and for the directors of the foundation with whom he served.

The Board of Directors of the Edmonds Fire Safety Foundation wanted to recognize, in perpetuity, Chuck for his unselfish dedication and devotion to the foundation, Fire Department, and citizens of Edmonds.

So the Charles W. “Chuck” Cain Memorial Endowment Fund was established.  The goal is to raise endowment funds to assure the on-going support of the men and women of the Edmonds Fire Department.
